Though I’ve always leaned more toward the writing side of marketing than the graphic side, the Digital Design course at Centennial ended up being the most fun and rewarding experience I’ve had in a classroom. For this project, I was tasked with conceptualizing an original brand and bringing it to life through mood boards and logo design using tools from the Adobe Creative Suite. I created Reel Meals—a fictional restaurant built around two of my longest-standing passions: film and food. The concept? A movie/TV-themed dining experience where every dish is pulled straight from pop culture (think Krabby Patties, Goodfellas pasta, Twin Peaks cherry pie—you get it). Because it was a personal brand, I explored a range of visual identities, from neon cyberpunk and retro diner kitsch to sleek modern femininity and bold pop-art minimalism.
